new cpu with mobo and ram

well, im going to florida and canada this december, and i have decided to upgrade my hardware. i have about 300-400$ to spend. i know pretty much about pc hardware, but the i5 and i7 are a bit new for me...
i will be using my pc for gaming, compiling, coding etc.., but i dont want to OC my rig. the min ram i want is 4gigs and a cpu speed of about 2.66ghz.

can anyone tell me whats best to buy, but i dont want to be running around to buy all this stuff, so best to buy from tigerdirect or amazon?

then i would spend my whole budget on the cpu alone..., and 6gigs of ram requieres a 64 bit os, while i only run 32. and ill stick with that..

Wow this really got off-topic. Anyways, I recommend spending about $80-150 on your CPU. CPU isn't everything so I figured that is a fairly sizable amount to spend. The rest, I say spend on either disk space (HDD) increase, graphics cards (I recommend check this out CLICK!), or maybe a beefing up your connection (modem card, internet modem, cables, router, etc.)

The graphics card I shared with you has some pretty sweet stats, and is only about $60 with free shipping (on buy.com). If you decide to take my advice on graphics, I also recommend looking at this card too CLICK! which runs for about $100. Here is some more information on it CLICK!

@kyle, please read the first post... i was only interested in a cpu, mobo and ram, not a video card since i have a 9800gtx already....

and hdd space is not needed either.
